Dr. Robert Bear is a board-certified cardiologist and a partner at Peak Heart & Vascular, with over 25 years of experience in diagnosing and treating a broad spectrum of cardiovascular conditions, including hypertension, lipid disorders, congestive heart failure, coronary artery disease, and cardiac arrhythmias.
In addition to general cardiology, Dr. Bear specializes in preventive cardiology, focusing on both primary prevention (avoiding cardiovascular events in asymptomatic patients) and secondary prevention (preventing recurrent events). Leveraging advanced technology, software, and diagnostic tools like lab and imaging studies, he identifies high-risk patients and recommends tailored lifestyle modifications and medications to lower their risk of future heart problems.
Dr. Bear earned his medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1985. He completed his internal medicine residency at Kennedy Memorial Hospital University Medical Center in Stratford, New Jersey, followed by a cardiology fellowship at Chicago Osteopathic Medical Center. He further specialized with an interventional cardiology fellowship at the University of Virginia Medical Center. Dr. Bear is board-certified in both internal medicine and cardiology.
Dr. Bear’s mission is to provide exceptional care, helping his patients stay healthy and lead fulfilling lives.
