Dr. Nirav Mehta is a founding partner of Peak Heart & Vascular and a board-certified cardiologist with over a decade of experience practicing interventional cardiology in the Phoenix metropolitan area and surrounding communities in northern Arizona.
Dr. Mehta has advanced training and expertise in performing structural heart procedures, including TAVR, Watchman, and atrial septal closure. His proficiency extends to complex percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI) for cases such as complete occlusions, bifurcated stenoses, and multivessel stenosis, particularly for patients considered too high-risk for surgery.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Mehta is a dedicated researcher in cardiovascular medicine, having authored over 20 scholarly articles, with half of them as the first author, demonstrating his leadership in the field.
He began his medical training at Pramukh Swami Medical College in India, completed his internal medicine residency at Long Island College Hospital in Brooklyn, New York, and pursued a cardiology fellowship at Creighton University Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska. He then completed an interventional cardiology fellowship at Winthrop University Hospital in Long Island, New York.
