Dr. Nirav Mehta is a founding partner of Peak Heart & Vascular and a board-certified cardiologist with over a decade of experience practicing interventional cardiology in the Phoenix metropolitan area and northern Arizona. He is known for his advanced expertise in structural and interventional cardiology, providing innovative, patient-centered care for complex cardiovascular conditions.

Dr. Mehta earned his medical degree from Pramukh Swami Medical College in India before completing his internal medicine residency at Long Island College Hospital in Brooklyn, New York. He then pursued a fellowship in cardiovascular disease at Creighton University Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska, followed by an advanced interventional cardiology fellowship at Winthrop University Hospital in Long Island, New York.

Dr. Mehta has extensive experience in performing structural heart and complex coronary interventions. His expertise includes transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), left atrial appendage occlusion (Watchman), and atrial septal defect (ASD) closure. He is also highly skilled in complex percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI), including treatment of chronic total occlusions, bifurcated lesions, and multivessel coronary disease, particularly in patients considered high-risk for surgery.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Mehta is actively involved in cardiovascular research and has authored more than 20 scholarly articles, with half published as first author, reflecting his commitment to advancing the field of interventional cardiology through evidence-based innovation and education.

Dr. Mehta is board-certified in interventional cardiology, cardiovascular disease, and internal medicine. He is dedicated to delivering compassionate, comprehensive cardiovascular care and improving outcomes for patients across the region.

Everyone is very friendly Dr Mehta is awesome doesn't rush you explains very well his nurses that came in with him very nice only one complaint having the 2 nurses taking my blood pressure my ekg and asking me questions about medication surgery ect ... all at once I felt overwhelmed and rushed

Dr. Mehta is a wonderful Doctor. This was our second procedure with him. He is skilled and highly recommended. We sought him out because we have confidence in him. He did what others could not. In fact, one of our nurses yesterday said that she sees many doctors and she had her grandmother go to Dr. Mehta. He has a great bedside manner but more importantly he is a skilled cardiologist and we have had great care. Highly recommended! Dr. Mehta is awesome. Thank you for taking such good care of us!

Dr. Mehta is wonderful . His demeanor is instantly calming, and his team is caring and not pushy. All are friendly helpful and caring. They don't rush you or ignore you. They are good listeners and answer questions with true and real information.

I had a really great experience at this office. The entire staff was friendly, welcoming and professional, which made the visit comfortable from start to finish. Dr. Mehta truly stood out to me. He's the first doctor l've seen in years-maybe even a decade who didn't spend the entire appointment staring at a laptop and typing while I talked. Instead, he was fully present, listening carefully and making me feel heard and understood. It was such a refreshing change of pace. For once, I didn't feel like I was just another patient being processed or having my information entered into a computer. I felt like l was having a real conversation with someone who genuinely cared. I highly recommend this office.

Dr Mehta is like friend and not only a very knowledgeable HEART DR. He takes the time to listen and shows compassion for you and what's going on in your life and what's the best part of being lucky enough to have him as my cardiologist is his knowledge. I would put him up against any Dr at the Mayo,Cleveland Clinic,or any top rated hospital and top rated cardiologist. He deserves 10 stars.As I write this I am tearing up because how much he means to me. It's been a tough month for me. I lost my dog and my wife has COPD stage 4. He took the time to listen and give me encouragement. Then after that he took more time to exam me and to set up a time for a follow up angioplasty. I have 10 scents and we talked about having a follow up angiography to make sure I didn't have any more blockages. He agreed. Actually after our talking it was his suggestion. It was just more proof that he does everything he will do in preventive cardiology. Dr Megta,I hope your golf game gets better and please never leave Peak. God bless.
