Dr. Andy Tran is a founding partner of Peak Heart & Vascular and a board-certified cardiologist and cardiac electrophysiologist with over 15 years of experience. He has extensive expertise in cardiac electrophysiology and has performed more than 8,000 cardiac ablations and over 8,000 cardiac device implantations, including defibrillators, cardiac resynchronization devices (biventricular devices), pacemakers, and loop recorders. In 2017, Dr. Tran became the first to perform a transseptal puncture in an ambulatory surgery setting, and in 2018, he was the first to perform an atrial fibrillation ablation in an ASC setting.
Dr. Tran completed his internal medicine residency at MCP Hahnemann University in Philadelphia, followed by a fellowship in cardiovascular disease at Wayne State University in Detroit and an electrophysiology fellowship at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit.
Dr. Tran uses advanced diagnostic tools to correlate specific patient symptoms with the underlying disease, tailoring treatments to individual needs. He prioritizes patient safety and ensures thorough communication, explaining the risks and benefits of each treatment and procedure.
